I hope that every one had a good Valentine's day. I was thinking about
the orgin of Valentine's day. There are a lot of different stories
about how Valentine's day got started but my favorite is this one.

Valentine was a priest who lived during the time of the Emperor
Claudius. Claudius was fighting a war and he ordered that no marriages
be performed bacause he thought that married man would not fight as
well with a wife and chrildren at home. Valentine fought for the
sactity of marrige and married several people. He was arrested and
later exacuted for this.
I like the idea that Valentine's Day is a day we celabrate marriage as something that God ordained.
